About The Position

As the first dedicated Product Marketing hire, you will own how the company explains its work to the world. The role centers on technical writing and communication: translating engineering work into clear, precise content for technical audiences across blog posts, social media, product launches, sales materials, and events. It is suited to someone who writes exceptionally well, is curious about document AI, and wants to build a marketing function from the ground up alongside the founders. The company is a small, fast-growing San Francisco team building document-understanding technology for extracting accurate, structured information from complex documents at scale. Its approach combines intelligent schema mapping with fine-tuned extraction models and a multi-stage architecture involving layout understanding, targeted OCR, reading-order algorithms, table parsing, and vision-language models. Its customers include Fortune 100 enterprises, startups, public investment firms, and growth-stage companies.

Requirements

  • 0–4 years of experience in technical writing, content, developer relations, or marketing at a startup or agency; new graduates with strong writing and a portfolio of published work are encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional written communication for technical audiences, including the ability to explain how a system works clearly and without hype.
  • Sufficient technical fluency to interview engineers, read a benchmark table, and participate effectively in conversations with engineering and data teams.
  • Experience writing for social media, or a clear point of view on what works on LinkedIn and X for a technical audience.
  • A bias toward shipping quickly, such as producing a blog post or landing page in hours rather than weeks.
  • Ability and willingness to work five days in the San Francisco office.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior startup or founding experience.
  • Experience writing about developer tools, data infrastructure, or AI products.

  • Experience running a launch, content program, or event end to end.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit technical content, including deep-dive blog posts about the models and pipeline, benchmark releases, release notes, and customer stories.
  • Manage the company’s LinkedIn and X presence in a consistent voice and grow an audience of technical practitioners.
  • Own messaging and positioning across priority industries and keep it current as the product evolves.
  • Run product launches end to end, from understanding what shipped to producing the blog post, landing page, social content, and announcement email.
  • Turn engineering work, evaluations, and customer results into sales materials such as one-pagers, solution briefs, and evaluation guides.
  • Plan and execute the company’s presence at industry conferences, executive dinners, and roundtables.
  • Organize hosted events, including customer roundtables, technical meetups, and launch showcases, and turn them into content and proof points afterward.
  • Use HubSpot and Webflow and report on inbound interest, content engagement, and share of voice.
