Product Marketing Manager

AssemblyAI
•$130,000 - $160,000

About The Position

AssemblyAI is seeking a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to join a small marketing team as a generalist. The role runs product launches end-to-end, owns positioning and messaging for assigned products, and supports sales enablement, competitive intelligence, customer proof, website copy, and campaigns. The position works closely with product, research, sales, growth, and brand to bring new models, products, and capabilities to developers and product teams building voice agents, medical scribes, AI note takers, and customer-call intelligence products. The role combines strategic work with direct execution: writing copy, building decks, shipping landing pages, and running launches using modern AI tools. It also develops evergreen campaigns, sales resources, competitive insights, customer marketing assets, and market insight to support product adoption and growth.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B product marketing; ideally experience owning launches and positioning at a developer-focused, API-first, or AI company.
  • Proven experience running product launches end-to-end, including planning, asset development, cross-functional coordination, and results.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into positioning tied to business outcomes for developers and enterprise buyers.
  • Experience building sales enablement materials that sales teams use, and a point of view on measuring their effectiveness.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to create clear, specific copy for landing pages, launch emails, battlecards, and executive presentations.
  • Hands-on ability to ship website edits, landing pages, and emails using modern AI tools rather than only briefing others.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and speed, including campaigns that ship in weeks and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent cross-functional project management and communication skills.
  • Fluency with AI and LLMs in daily work for research, drafting, analysis, and iteration, with a considered perspective on their effective use.
  • Deep curiosity about Voice AI and enthusiasm for marketing infrastructure that helps developers build voice-powered products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AI/ML, speech, conversation intelligence, or voice technology.
  • Background marketing to developers and product teams.
  • Experience running competitive intelligence programs or maintaining benchmarks.
  • Experience with growth or activation metrics, including ownership of a metric.
  • Familiarity with developer tooling ecosystems and modern go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Run product and model launches end-to-end, including landing pages, announcement blogs, email, social, Product Hunt, in-product modules, and partner handoffs.
  • Own launch plans, including timelines, tiering, stakeholder alignment, asset production, and internal and external communications.
  • Align with product and marketing leads on launch success metrics and report results honestly.
  • Build evergreen campaigns that sustain product growth between launches by refreshing assets, retargeting stalled signups, and cultivating verticals.
  • Own positioning and messaging for assigned products, including speech-to-text, streaming, text-to-speech, and new product lines.
  • Translate technical capabilities into business-outcome-focused positioning for developers and enterprise buyers.
  • Develop narratives for key use cases, including voice agents, medical scribes and dictation, AI note takers, and customer calls.
  • Keep product, solution, and landing pages accurate and consistent, owning narrative and copy and partnering with brand and web teams on publishing.
  • Build and maintain sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards, FAQs, demo scripts, and objection handling.
  • Run enablement sessions for sales and customer success on launches, positioning changes, and competitive updates.
  • Gather sales representative feedback and relay it to product and marketing teams.
  • Track competitor releases, pricing, positioning, and campaigns; maintain benchmarks, battlecards, and comparison pages; and develop messaging or campaign responses to competitive changes.
  • Partner with research and product teams to ensure benchmark claims are accurate, defensible, and current.
  • Source and produce customer proof points, including case studies, quotes, logos, and video assets.
  • Partner with growth and customer success on expansion and upsell campaigns.
  • Feed customer insights into positioning, including customer motivations, reasons for choosing AssemblyAI, and areas of difficulty.
  • Collaborate with lifecycle, demand generation, and paid partners on email nurtures, onboarding flows, audience building, and signup-behavior-based targeting.
  • Identify emerging use cases and verticals from customer feedback, signup trends, and market signals, and flag opportunities for focus.
