MotherDuck•Seattle, WA
•$130,000 - $185,000•Hybrid

About The Position

MotherDuck is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to turn its product and technical capabilities into compelling stories for developers and data teams. The role owns positioning and messaging, creates written and web content, equips sales teams, and helps bring product launches to market. It works closely with product, sales, leadership, engineering, Developer Relations, and growth, while staying connected to customers and competitors. The position can be based in MotherDuck’s Seattle, San Francisco, or New York City office. The working arrangement is flexible: employees spend most of the week in the office and may work from wherever they are most productive for the rest of the week, with specifics agreed upon with the manager.

Requirements

  • 3 to 10 years of product marketing experience, ideally at a B2B software or developer-focused company.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly, concisely, and specifically.
  • Demonstrated positioning ability, including experience taking a product to market and showing the before-and-after impact.
  • Experience building web pages and landing pages, and comfort shipping them independently with modern tools.
  • A track record of creating sales enablement that sales teams actually use.
  • Curiosity about technical products and a desire to understand how they work.
  • Daily practical use of AI and interest in expanding its application.
  • Bias for action and willingness to ship a good version quickly rather than wait for a perfect version.

Responsibilities

  • Write website copy, landing pages, launch posts, product one-pagers, and emails.
  • Work with product, sales, and leadership to shape and maintain positioning and messaging as the product and market evolve.
  • Build and ship landing pages, comparison pages, demos, and interactive assets, preferably hands-on using AI tools and modern tools.
  • Create sales enablement materials, including battlecards, pitch decks, objection handling, and competitive takes; participate in sales calls and incorporate customer feedback into messaging.
  • Plan and deliver product launches end to end in collaboration with product, engineering, Developer Relations, and growth.
  • Talk to users, track competitors such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, and apply market and customer insights to messaging.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude for research, drafting, prototyping, and shipping, and help establish how marketing uses AI at MotherDuck.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and stock options.
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, plus 80% coverage for dependents.
  • Flexible PTO.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Flexible work environment, with most of the week in the office and the remainder worked from a location where the employee is productive, as agreed with the manager.
