Product Marketing Manager

Petra SecuritySan Francisco, CA
$130,000 - $170,000Onsite

About The Position

We're on a mission to stop the most dominant cyberattacks on the planet. Petra stops the #1 cyberattack hitting businesses today. We've hit product-market fit and we're scaling fast, which means how we tell our story is now one of the biggest levers we have. This is an early, high-ownership role on a small team where your work will shape how the market understands Petra and how efficiently our sales team can sell. We’ve grown revenue very quickly with a small team, reaching mid-7-figures in ARR in a year. We now protect over 2.5 million users across 10,000+ businesses. We price premium, yet have extremely low customer churn. Our customers consistently tell us that Petra is the best product they've ever used. This is a rare chance to join early and help scale to $30M+ in revenue in the next 12 months. We're looking for a versatile product marketer to own how we position Petra and arm our team to sell it. You'll do a bit of everything a great PMM does, from sharpening our messaging and partnering with Product on launches to building the enablement and content that makes our sales team dangerous. Because we sell through MSPs who then sell Petra to their own clients, you'll think about two audiences at once: the MSP who buys, and the client they need to convince. We need someone who can turn a technical product into a clear, compelling story and translate that story into everything the go-to-market team needs.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in B2B product marketing, ideally to a technical buyer
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities: you turn technical capability into clear, compelling messaging that lands with both technical and business buyers
  • Instinct informed by evidence: you pull signal from customer conversations, competitive reality, and the field, then trust your judgment to move without perfect information
  • Track record partnering directly with product and engineering to bring technical products to market
  • Enablement instinct: you know what a sales team actually needs to win and you like building it
  • Strong copywriting skills: you write clean, sharp copy with a high editorial bar
  • Self-starter with a bias toward action: you're comfortable wearing a lot of hats and building 0-1

Responsibilities

  • Own messaging and positioning: build and maintain our source of truth for how we talk about Petra, and keep it sharp as the product and market evolve
  • Partner with Product on launches: shape how new features come to market, from positioning and naming to the assets that get them adopted
  • Drive sales enablement: build the battle cards, talk tracks, decks, and objection handling that help our AEs win, and keep them current as the market shifts
  • Create content that sells: case studies, comparison pages, one-pagers, and campaign material that move deals and support demand
  • Arm the channel: build the material MSPs need to sell Petra to their own clients, so our story carries all the way to the end customer
  • Ground your work in evidence: mine call recordings, competitive intel, and customer conversations to sharpen messaging and surface what's actually resonating
  • Build the function: as we scale, you'll shape what product marketing looks like at Petra and how we work cross-functionally
