Product Marketing Engineer

Emerson•Austin, TX

About The Position

The Product Marketing Engineer works in NI/Emerson Test & Measurement’s Product Marketing Engineering team, which bridges engineering and business by communicating the technical benefits of NI hardware and software to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. The role leads hands-on go-to-market execution and helps evolve how NI brings software to market, applying modern software and SaaS practices to support faster, more frequent releases and ongoing communication of customer value. The position partners with Product Management, R&D, sales, and marketing to translate customer needs and product capabilities into messaging, technical content, seller enablement, and launch execution. It establishes scalable practices for communicating new value, preparing sellers, and driving adoption as the software portfolio and pace of innovation grow. Technical fluency is used to connect NI software with its hardware platform and explain the value of the complete ecosystem to customers and sellers.

  • 8+ years of product marketing, technical marketing, solutions marketing, or related experience bringing complex technical products to market.
  • Experience leading product marketing for assigned software releases, capabilities, or launch workstreams and contributing to larger platform launches, including messaging and content development, cross-functional execution, sales readiness, and post-launch improvement.
  • Experience creating technical marketing content and enablement that helps technical sellers and channel partners communicate customer value.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, align to business priorities, determine a path to the outcome, adapt as conditions change, and personally drive work through completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting AI, cloud, SaaS, or other software products with frequent release cycles, or demonstrated ability to quickly build and apply that expertise.
  • A record of turning priorities into high-quality deliverables and measurable launch outcomes.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, NI hardware, data acquisition, or instrumentation, and ability to connect hardware and software capabilities into a cohesive customer story.
  • Technical communication skills, including technical writing, product demonstrations, educational video content, and presentations for technical and commercial audiences.
  • Ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders, resolve dependencies, and keep complex releases moving toward a shared outcome.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work effectively through ambiguity, and improve the operating model as product and market needs evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and scale product marketing practices for more frequent software updates, personally creating launch content, enablement, and execution practices that maintain quality and seller readiness.
  • Work with Product Management and R&D to align release priorities, scope, and timing; adapt go-to-market execution as plans change; and bring software updates to market.
  • Lead product marketing readiness for assigned software releases and capabilities, and co-lead launches for larger software platforms.
  • Create technical marketing deliverables, including demonstrations, videos, presentations, web content, and sales tools, to communicate customer value and generate demand.
  • Develop and deliver training, tools, and guidance to help direct and indirect sellers position NI software within the broader hardware and software platform.
  • Serve as a product expert in customer and pre-sales engagements, connecting software capabilities to instrumentation, data acquisition, and automated test workflows.
