Product Manager
About The Position
Avis Budget Group is seeking a Product Manager to define and own the product strategy and roadmap for Global partner reservation and rental APIs. This role involves establishing clear OKRs, collaborating with external partners and internal stakeholders to support API integrations, and ensuring a seamless API lifecycle. The Product Manager will foster a collaborative environment, stay ahead of industry trends, and drive the evolution of the API product strategy. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of proven product experience managing APIs in a B2B or partner-facing context
- Strong leadership experience in aligning product strategy and execution efforts across large cross-functional groups, multiple locations, and time zones
- Balance of technical and business acumen; able to communicate what is possible and what will have biggest impact on business
- Ability to take big ideas and turn them into a roadmap of features and research with minimal guidance
- Naturally takes initiative and inspires momentum, organizing teams and processes to deliver results—even in the face of ambiguity and complexity
- Demonstrates effective team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and leadership skills
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to product decision-making
- Adept at ruthless prioritization in the face of competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for Global partner reservation and rental APIs, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer value
- Establish clear OKRs in partnership with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to measure success and track progress
- Collaborate closely with external partners and internal stakeholders to support API integrations, answer product-related questions, and ensure a seamless experience across the API lifecycle—from planning through implementation and beyond
- Ensure different perspectives are heard and balanced to meet business objectives, securing collaboration, and strong partnerships with key stakeholders in various parts of the organization
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering environment within the team
- Stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to inform and evolve the API product strategy.
