Plaid•New York, NY
•$190,800 - $286,800

About The Position

Plaid is hiring a Product Manager to take over Agent Trust, its Know Your Agent (KYA) product. Agent Trust determines whether actions AI agents take on financial accounts can be trusted. The role will define how Plaid identifies agents, verifies the people behind them, and evaluates what they are authorized to do, connecting these capabilities to portable identity, reusable KYC, and consumer permissions. The Product Manager will own the product vision and strategy, determine its offering, audience, packaging, and pricing, and work with financial institutions and Plaid customers on discovery, design partnerships, and go-to-market enablement. The role will also represent Plaid in industry and protocol working groups and partner with engineering and data science on signals, labels, success metrics, and product requirements. The Fraud team supports the work with fraud engineering and data teams, as well as Plaid’s existing identity, consent, and risk infrastructure.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of product management or equivalent product ownership experience, including meaningful experience in fraud, identity, authentication, or payments risk.
  • Hands-on depth in identity and authorization protocols (OAuth 2.x and OIDC, FIDO and WebAuthn, or FDX or Open Banking consent), or in bot, device, and agent detection systems.
  • Track record of growing a new product line from early design partners and first customers to repeatable sales.
  • Experience building for and selling to enterprise customers or financial institutions.
  • Clear writing and the ability to translate between protocol engineers, data scientists, go-to-market teams, and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and OKRs for Agent Trust, including decisions about the offering, target customers, packaging, and pricing.
  • Define how Plaid identifies agents, verifies the humans behind them, and evaluates their authorization for new and existing accounts.
  • Connect Agent Trust to portable identity, reusable KYC, and consumer permission management in collaboration with the product teams responsible for those areas.
  • Work directly with financial institutions and Plaid customers as the product expert on discovery, design partnerships, and go-to-market enablement.
  • Represent Plaid’s product requirements in industry groups and protocol working groups developing agent identity and authorization specifications, in collaboration with Partnerships and Legal.
  • Partner with data science and engineering to define product signals, labels, success metrics, and related requirements.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Additional compensation may include equity and/or commission, depending on the position offered.
