Product Designer

McAfee•San Jose, CA

About The Position

As a Product Designer, you will design clear, trustworthy experiences that help people protect their devices, identity, and privacy. You will own design for significant product areas end to end, from problem framing through shipped experience, working alongside product management, engineering, research, and content. You are a confident, independent contributor who raises the quality bar for the team and mentors designers earlier in their careers. You will lead design for multi-release features and flows across web and mobile, translating customer needs, research insights, and business goals into clear problem statements, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. You will partner with product and engineering to shape roadmaps, scope trade-offs, and deliver quality work. You will plan and run research with researchers, apply insights from usability testing, concept validation, and behavioral data, and contribute to a consistent, accessible, and scalable design system. The role also involves presenting design rationale, incorporating feedback, championing accessibility and privacy and security by design, mentoring designers, and improving team practices. McAfee is a leader in personal security for consumers. Its consumer solutions focus on protecting people, adapting to their needs in an always-online world, and helping them live securely through integrated, intuitive solutions.
