Product Designer

Urban Ridge Supplies•New York, NY
•$120,000 - $170,000

About The Position

Ande is a Series A startup building an AI-native platform that connects enterprises and hospitality across the booking experience. The company helps businesses plan and manage dinners, events, and offsites by integrating with the tools they already use. Ande is backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Sierra Ventures, and Bain Capital, and has offices in New York City and San Francisco. The Product Designer will join Ande’s growing design team in a hands-on role suited to someone who is curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to build, ship, and iterate in a fast-moving startup environment. The designer will grow ownership and craft across meaningful product areas, working across product definition, design execution, launch, and iteration. The role involves close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Operations, as well as user research, design-system contributions, and regular use of AI tools in the design workflow.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in UX or Product Design, ideally in B2B, enterprise SaaS, or complex workflow-driven products.
  • Experience contributing to end-to-end design initiatives and shipping real products.
  • Strong UX fundamentals and ability to work through ambiguous problems with structure and clarity.
  • Strong visual judgment and taste, including the ability to assess and explain design quality.
  • Ability to clearly explain and defend design decisions to cross-functional partners, connecting them to user needs.
  • Ability to communicate design thinking beyond pixels, including writing problem statements, annotating flows, or preparing lightweight briefs as needed.
  • Experience designing for multi-step processes or workflow-driven products.
  • Growing sense of agency, including taking initiative and asking good questions.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and Claude Code, and comfort working at strategic and tactical levels.
  • Interest in designing AI-powered products and comfort working in AI-native, fast-feedback environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing for native iOS mobile.
  • Experience in travel, expense management, fintech, or adjacent enterprise platforms.
  • Experience designing AI-powered or AI-assisted product experiences.
  • Regular use of AI tools to support UX work.
  • Some front-end literacy or comfort thinking in components and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for defined features and product areas, from problem framing through execution, launch, and iteration.
  • Help define what to build and why, working upstream when needed rather than only designing solutions to handed-off problems.
  • Explore and design product ideas, from rough concepts and flows to high-fidelity UI and interactive prototypes.
  • Translate complex AI-driven, data-heavy, or workflow-oriented problems into clear, intuitive user journeys.
  • Identify UX issues and experience gaps proactively and bring concrete written or visual proposals to the team.
  • Apply strong visual design craft, including typography, layout, spacing, and color, to create beautiful and usable interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations, contributing to roadmap discussions and trade-off decisions.
  • Participate in user research and synthesis to understand enterprise users, real-world workflows, and operational constraints.
  • Use and contribute to the design system, prioritizing speed, consistency, and usability.
  • Use AI tools throughout daily work for writing, research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and rapid iteration.
