About The Position

Prelim is seeking a Product Designer to create user-centered designs that improve the usability, accessibility, and aesthetics of its banking platform. The designer will work closely with customers, engineers, and product stakeholders to craft intuitive, engaging experiences that address complex banking needs. This role offers the opportunity to help expand access to banking for millions of people at a fast-paced startup operating remotely across the United States. The Product Designer will take designs from initial concept through production, create and evolve design systems and prototypes, and help bring new ideas to the platform. Prelim is a San Francisco- and New York City-based startup that helps banks streamline account opening for consumers and businesses, accelerating speed-to-market and improving the customer experience for financial institutions.

Requirements

An outstanding portfolio showcasing exceptional design quality in consumer-facing and/or enterprise-facing work.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to turn early-stage ideas into actionable outcomes.
Commitment to excellence and sensitivity to design details.
Strong systems-thinking skills and a proactive, self-starting approach.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with a habit of proactive collaboration.

Responsibilities

Craft pixel-perfect designs that enhance and expand the platform.
Manage designs from initial idea through production, ensuring high quality in every deliverable.
Create and evolve design systems, prototypes, and other assets to bring ideas to the platform.
Collaborate with Prelim customers, engineers, and product stakeholders to develop intuitive user experiences.
