Anthropic is seeking a Product Designer to work on products and interactions shaped by AI capabilities. Design at Anthropic combines craft, research, and product intuition, working closely with engineers and researchers to create experiences for widely used products, including patterns that do not yet have established conventions. The role involves staying close to models, prototyping rapidly, and working comfortably amid ambiguity. Designers are expected to ship quickly, challenge fundamental UI assumptions, develop patterns native to AI, use tools such as Claude Code, and attend to visual details, copy, and edge cases while moving fast. The designer will partner with product managers, engineers, AI researchers, and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, and play an active role in shipping. They will understand product technical architecture, define primitives for new capabilities, shape feature areas with close attention to detail, and improve the quality and consistency of broader flows. The work includes creating polished interfaces that build trust and demonstrate AI capabilities, and communicating ideas through code, design, prototypes, and other methods. Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. The role follows a location-based hybrid policy: staff are currently expected to work from one of the company’s offices at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration. The company sponsors visas in some cases and says it will make reasonable efforts to obtain one for a candidate receiving an offer, with support from an immigration lawyer.
