About The Position

The Produce Manager is responsible for providing World Famous Friendly Customer Service to customers, team members, and outside vendors. This role involves merchandising, stocking, breaking down and storing loads, culling and rotating product, and preparing product for display. The Produce Manager will also assist with department hiring, team member coaching, accountability, and evaluations.

Requirements

World famous friendly attitude with customers & team members.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to create a “team” atmosphere.
Ability to lead, motivate, coach & direct team members.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 45 pounds on a regular basis.
Able to stand on your feet continuously on a regular basis.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & computer technology.
Availability to work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide World Famous Friendly Customer Service to customers, team members, and outside vendors.
Merchandising, filling, stocking, breaking down & storing loads.
Culling product, rotating product, preparation of product, trimming, crisping etc.
Assist with department hiring, team member coaching/accountability/evaluations.
Create a “team” atmosphere.
Motivate, coach & direct team members.
Hold team members accountable for work performance.
Follow safety standards & required operating procedures.
Cull off quality or out of code product and rotate new product onto display.
Trim and crisp lettuce, celery, and other wet, perishable products.
Observe policies and procedures established for the department.
Continue education of product identification uses and handling.
Keep work area clean; follow cleaning schedule.
Train department new team members.
Follow productivity guidelines as set by the Store Leader.
Abide by all company policies as stated in the employee handbook.
Build creative displays to maximize sales.
