Produce Clerk - Earth Fare Charleston
About The Position
Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. The company’s mission is to help people live healthy lives, and Team Members guide customers toward trusted healthy food and wellbeing and household products that meet Earth Fare’s standards. The Produce Clerk helps keep the produce department stocked, clean, organized, rotated, culled, and appropriately merchandised. The role maintains department stock levels and invoice records, follows merchandising guidelines, checks signage and pricing, and provides customers with product knowledge and service.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Ability to stand and remain on one’s feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of produce and organic procedures.
- Knowledge of produce industry trends, common allergies, and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
- Experience in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Keep the produce department well stocked, clean, organized, rotated, culled, and appropriately merchandised.
- Catalog and code invoices and maintain department stock levels.
- Maintain an attractive sales floor by following Earth Fare merchandising guidelines as outlined by the Produce Manager.
- Verify proper signage and pricing for department items.
- Provide customers with excellent product knowledge and service.
