About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and trusted wellbeing and household products that meet Earth Fare’s high standards. The Meat & Seafood Clerk provides customer service and product knowledge in the department, prepares specialty merchandise, and helps keep the department stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and properly merchandised.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, squat, push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
• Ability to stand and remain on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Basic knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and provide product knowledge within the department.
• Prepare specialty merchandise, such as sausage, ready-to-cook products, and cured meats.
• Keep the Meat and Seafood Department stocked, clean, organized, and rotated.
• Merchandise items appropriately, including ensuring proper signage and pricing.
