About The Position

Lunardi’s Markets is seeking warm, friendly Produce Clerks to provide excellent customer service and support its produce department. No experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. Clerks cut and package fresh fruit and vegetables, maintain product freshness and quality, rotate stock, update signage, and help maintain the department’s appearance. The role involves working with a variety of equipment and tools and following food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Employees are expected to be reliable, positive, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and effective team members.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
No prior experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
Must be reliable and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Must be able to work in a sometimes fast-paced environment and multitask while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand, walk, and reach or bend for up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
Cut and package fresh fruit and vegetables in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure the freshness and quality of products upon delivery and during restocking.
Monitor and maintain proper rotation of fresh produce.
Update and maintain product signage and department appearance.
Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Use equipment and tools such as box cutters, knives, trash compactors, cardboard balers, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
Handle customer and business information with honesty and integrity.
Protect the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers, and immediately report safety-related accidents and incidents to management.
