About The Position

As a Produce Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market, LLC, you will help customers choose produce, answer their questions, and maintain a well-stocked selection of high-quality products. You will process deliveries, stock products, and keep displays and work areas organized and clean. The role requires compliance with food safety, freshness, and sanitation procedures. The Produce department is cooler than most areas of the store, and the work environment is typical of a retail store, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud.

Requirements

Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Able to adapt to and be comfortable working in a cooler-than-normal temperature environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and build rapport.
Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond effectively to customer questions and provide product suggestions.
Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
Process deliveries by breaking loads down onto stock carts or pallets and transferring products to the sales floor.
Follow company freshness-dating and safety procedures.
Keep work areas clean by consolidating and organizing products and performing basic department cleaning.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to maintain quality service and products.
Organize shelf items, remove expired products from displays, and assist shoppers with their needs.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
