FT Produce Clerk TFM
About The Position
As a Produce Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market, LLC, you provide product suggestions and assist customers with questions while stocking cases and ensuring customers have a variety of high-quality produce items. You maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements, and periodically clean and sanitize produce department areas, preparation areas, and equipment. The role involves customer service, stocking and merchandising, processing deliveries, maintaining product freshness, and keeping work areas organized and clean. Produce department work takes place in a cooler-than-normal retail environment with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. Flexible hours are preferred; the store operates from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. The stated pay range is $15.00–$20.10 per hour, with individual pay determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
Requirements
- Be highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Have strong listening and communication skills.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to meet the physical demands of standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking around the store.
- Be comfortable working in the cooler-than-normal temperature of the Produce department.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and build rapport with them.
- Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
- Respond effectively to customer questions.
- Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
- Process deliveries by breaking loads down onto stock carts or pallets and transferring products to the sales floor.
- Follow company freshness-dating policies and safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean by consolidating and organizing products and performing basic department cleaning.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
- Organize shelf items, remove expired products from displays, and assist shoppers with their needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Clean and sanitize produce department areas, preparation areas, and equipment periodically.
