Process Support Engineer
About The Position
Regeneron is seeking a Process Support Engineer to join its Integrated Manufacturing Support team. This non-laboratory role focuses on problem solving and scientific and technical investigations, serving as a subject matter expert to support biopharmaceutical production activities across the manufacturing site. The position works with production, purification, and formulation activities and collaborates across manufacturing and quality teams to investigate issues and improve processes. The level offered—Associate Process Support Engineer, Process Support Engineer, or Senior Process Support Engineer—will be determined based on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering; chemical engineering or biological engineering preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cell culture, purification/chromatography operations, analytical methods such as UPLC, ELISA, or PCR, and/or material sciences and statistical analyses.
- Experience requirements vary by level: Associate Process Support Engineer, 0–2+ years; Process Support Engineer, 2+ years; Senior Process Support Engineer, 5+ years.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in chemical engineering or biological engineering.
- Knowledge of cell culture, purification/chromatography operations, analytical methods such as UPLC, ELISA, or PCR, and/or material sciences and statistical analyses.
Responsibilities
- Lead, author, and/or review scientific root cause investigations and develop corrective action plans to resolve complex deviations related to process control and product quality.
- Perform data analysis and use statistical process control tools to trend and analyze process-related data, driving consistency and improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert using a science-based approach and historical data analysis to support production, purification, and formulation activities.
- Present process data and investigational findings at group and department meetings.
- Monitor production processes to proactively acquire data that supports issue prevention and tracks the efficiency of changes.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, and Process Sciences laboratory teams to investigate root causes and implement process improvements.
