About The Position

Live Oaks Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Pro Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of its golf department. This is a unique opportunity to help set the direction for the club from the ground up. The Pro Shop Manager will work alongside a PGA General Manager with over 15 years of experience and a Public Merchandiser of the Year award winner. The role involves providing exceptional service to members and guests, managing daily golf operations, assisting with tournaments and events, recruiting and training staff, developing operational standards, creating schedules, and participating in the merchandising program.

Requirements

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems
Understanding of Club financials
Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness
Knowledge of shop inventory
Attention to detail
Walk and or stand for long periods of time
Sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service to members and guests at all times
Manage daily golf operations, including opening and closing of the Pro Shop
Assist in the planning and execution of golf tournaments and club events
Recruit, hire, and train new team members as needed
Create training programs, operational standards, and manuals
Generate weekly scheduling for all golf department team members
Participate in our merchandising program which includes ordering, receiving, displaying, and inventory control
Devise best practices to maximize merchandise sales
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
