Private Piano Teacher - Musicologie Center City
About The Position
Musicologie is hiring a Private Piano Teacher for its Center City location in Philadelphia, which is opening in early 2027. The teacher will work with students of all ages and abilities, helping them identify their musical goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals. Teachers serve as friendly guides on students’ musical journeys and encourage community involvement through performances and group classes. Musicologie describes its teaching approach as the Musicologie Method, which emphasizes a safe environment and education through play. The organization offers training, shadowing, and clear upward mobility, along with programs and technology intended to make teaching and learning exciting. Teachers are part of a collaborative community of musicians and music lovers. The teacher is expected to learn Musicologie’s educational philosophy, curriculum, and processes; provide an outstanding lesson experience to every family and student; and collaborate with other teachers and managers. Requirements
- Excellent musicianship.
- Ability and enthusiasm to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
- Excellent in-person and email communication skills.

- Ability to work evening hours.
- A bachelor’s degree in the instrument or equivalent experience.
- Teaching experience on the instrument.
- Experience working with children and families.
