About The Position

Musicologie Clayton is seeking an expert musician who enjoys introducing people of all ages to music. The teacher will help students identify their musical goals and progress through relevant curriculum, serving as a friendly guide and encouraging community involvement through performances and group classes. The role calls for commitment to learning Musicologie’s educational philosophy, curriculum, and processes, providing an outstanding lesson experience, and collaborating with teachers and managers. Evening availability is required. The Clayton location is described as coming early 2027.

Requirements

• Be an excellent musician.
• Be excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
• Communicate expertly in person and by email.
• Be extremely organized and self-motivated.
• Be curious and inspired to learn new things.
• Be able to work evening hours.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant instrument or equivalent experience.
• Have teaching experience on the relevant instrument.
• Have experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach students of all ages and abilities, helping them identify their goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals.
• Encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.
• Learn and follow Musicologie’s philosophy of education, curriculum, and processes.
• Deliver an outstanding lesson experience to every family and student.
• Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to improve everyone’s capabilities.
