About The Position

Musicologie Lindon is seeking a private music teacher for its 2026 opening. The teacher will work with students of all ages and abilities, helping them identify goals and progress through curriculum tailored to those goals. They will guide students on their musical journeys and encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.

Musicologie describes its teaching approach as rooted in creating a safe environment and educating through play. The organization offers teacher training, shadowing, upward mobility, innovative programs and technology, and a collaborative community of musicians. Teachers are expected to learn the organization’s educational philosophy, curriculum, and processes and deliver an outstanding lesson experience to each student and family.

Requirements

• Be an excellent musician.
• Be excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
• Communicate expertly in person and by email.
• Be extremely organized and self-motivated.
• Be curious and inspired to learn new things.
• Be able to work evening hours.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in the instrument or equivalent experience.
• Have teaching experience on the instrument.
• Have experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach students of all ages and abilities, supporting their musical goals and progress through relevant curriculum.
• Encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.
• Learn and follow Musicologie’s philosophy of education, curriculum, and processes.
• Deliver an outstanding lesson experience to every student and family.
• Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to develop everyone’s capabilities.
