About The Position

Provide private-duty nursing care to a 15-year-old male client in the client’s home in Berlin, Maryland. The client has a G/J-tube, uses BiPAP, and requires oxygen. Available shifts are 12 a.m. to 8 a.m., two to three nights per week. The agency is willing to train qualified, interested nurses in G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care.

The agency provides home care to adult and pediatric patients and describes itself as Joint Commission Accredited, with more than 38 years of experience. Pay is $26–$42 per hour, depending on licensure, skills, experience, and the case. Employees receive time-and-a-half pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a week. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment. The agency also offers weekly pay with direct deposit, a referral bonus program, and ongoing educational training.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Maryland nursing license or multistate compact license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Confidence working independently.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care; training is available for qualified, interested candidates.
• Ventilator experience; training is available for qualified candidates.
• Pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with the client in the client's home.
• Complete nursing assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care.
• Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.
