Private Duty Pediatric Nurse - Elkton, MD
About The Position
The agency is hiring a compassionate, energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide private-duty pediatric home healthcare for an 11-year-old female client in Elkton, Maryland. The client has a G/J-tube and uses a ventilator. The nurse will work one-on-one in the client’s home and may receive training in G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care from nursing supervisors. Available shifts are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Pay is $26–$42 per hour, with rates based on licensure, skills, experience, and case. Employees receive time-and-a-half for hours worked beyond 40 in a week. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment. The agency also offers weekly pay with direct deposit, a referral bonus program, and ongoing educational training.
Requirements
- Hold an active, unrestricted Maryland nursing license or a multistate compact license as an LPN or RN.
- Have valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Be confident working independently.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care; qualified and interested candidates may be trained.
- Ventilator experience; qualified candidates may be trained.
- Pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one in the client’s home.
- Complete nursing assessments.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the patient’s Plan of Care.
- Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.
