About The Position
The agency is hiring compassionate, energetic Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses to provide private-duty home healthcare. This case involves caring one-on-one for a 51-year-old male client who uses BiPAP in his home in Columbia, Maryland. The available shift is every other Sunday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The agency is willing to train qualified and interested nurses in G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care as needed, with nursing supervisors providing instruction. The agency is Joint Commission Accredited and has provided home care for adults and pediatric patients for over thirty-eight years. Compensation is $26–$42 per hour, with rates determined by licensure, skills, experience, and case. Employees receive time-and-a-half pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a week. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment. Other offerings include weekly pay with direct deposit, a referral bonus program, and ongoing educational training.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Maryland nursing license or multistate compact license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Confidence working independently.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care; qualified and interested candidates may be trained.
- Ventilator experience; qualified candidates may be trained.
- Pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one in the client’s home.
- Complete nursing assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient’s Plan of Care.
- Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.
