About The Position

The Privacy Analyst II monitors the day-to-day activities of MUSC Health in support of its privacy compliance objectives. The role works in conjunction with and under the supervision of the MUSC Health Director of Privacy. It conducts complex HIPAA audits, responds to inquiries, coordinates investigations into reported allegations and questions, and supports follow-up, reporting, education, site visits, and the development of privacy team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4–6 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-complexity HIPAA audits and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate investigations and responses to reported allegations and questions, ensuring completion of necessary follow-up actions and reporting requirements.
• Ensure questions and allegations are logged in the matter management system.
• Facilitate communications between organizational areas that approach the Privacy Office.
• Provide education and in-service training on more technical aspects of HIPAA as needed.
• Conduct HIPAA site visits.
• Train new privacy team members.
• Mentor other analysts.
• Assist the Director of Privacy with other duties as assigned.
