About The Position

Unique Industries is seeking safety-minded team members with attention to detail for its printing department. The Printer operates a printing press and is responsible for producing products that meet established quality standards by printing to proof. The position is on 2nd shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Printing experience is not required, and training will be provided.

Requirements

Ability to understand basic written and oral instructions.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet departmental goals.
Ability to determine colors.
High school diploma or general education degree required.
Prior machine operation experience required.
Prior manufacturing experience required.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare the press for scheduled runs.
Mount raw plate, napkin, or label stock to the press.
Determine the ink formulation needed and transfer inks into the printing stations.
Adjust printing-cylinder pressure to achieve the necessary print.
Ensure correct web alignment.
Make necessary adjustments during the run.
Remove the finished roll from the rewind stand when the run is complete.
