Printer 1 (Plant Supervisor 1)
About The Position
This entry-level Plant Supervisor role oversees inmate laborers performing manufacturing duties. Under direct supervision, the position coordinates workforce, physical plant, inventory, and requirements activities. The supervisor assists more senior supervisors with manufacturing and related responsibilities while developing skills in inmate training, safety-procedure development and execution, quality control, and efficient manufacturing practices. The role may also involve routine maintenance of production equipment. The position may be filled at the Plant Supervisor 2 level based on the applicant’s experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Technical experience in textile manufacturing, preferably in a knitting or hosiery production environment.
- Knowledge of or exposure to circular knitting machines and related manufacturing processes.
