Printer 1 - Napkins 1st shift

About The Position

Unique Industries is seeking safety-minded, detail-oriented team members for its printing department. The Printer operates a printing press for napkins and produces products that meet established quality standards by printing to proof. The position is on first shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Printing experience is not required because training will be provided.

Requirements

Understand basic written and oral instructions.
Perform basic math.
Communicate with management and coworkers to meet departmental goals.
Determine colors.
High school diploma or general education degree required.
Prior machine operation experience required.
Prior manufacturing experience required.
Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare the press for scheduled runs.
Mount raw plate and napkin or label stock to the press.
Determine the ink formulation needed and transfer inks into the printing stations.
Adjust printing-cylinder pressure to achieve the required print.
Ensure the web is correctly aligned.
Make necessary adjustments during the run.
Remove the finished roll from the rewind stand when the run is complete.
