Printer Technician - Day Shift
About The Position
Up North Plastics is seeking a Printer Technician to join its manufacturing team on the day shift. The company produces polyethylene products, including trash bags and construction and agricultural films. The role tracks and orders supplies, monitors and refills ink, performs light maintenance on production equipment, and supports the manufacturing team. It also produces sample packaging to test different materials and designs and runs production trials to confirm that products work safely. Starting pay is $17.50. Applications are not accepted from candidates in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or California.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a manufacturing company is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Track and order supplies and materials.
- Monitor ink levels and refill ink as needed.
- Perform light maintenance on production equipment.
- Provide general support to the manufacturing team.
- Produce sample packaging to test different materials and designs.
- Run production trials to ensure products work and are safe.
- Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned by management.
