About The Position

Silgan Closures is hiring a Printer Technician at its Champaign, Illinois manufacturing facility. The role operates and monitors industrial printing machinery in a clean, safe, climate-controlled production environment supporting food and beverage packaging. The schedule is a rotating 12-hour shift: Week 1, work Monday–Tuesday, off Wednesday–Thursday, and work Friday–Sunday; Week 2, off Monday–Tuesday, work Wednesday–Thursday, and off Friday–Sunday. Pay is $23.89–$26.56 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for night shift. Pay is weekly. Overtime is optional, with attendance incentives, and there is no mandatory overtime. The role supports production quality and food safety standards and includes preventive maintenance and production documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of printing, machine operator, or manufacturing experience.
Strong understanding of production processes and equipment maintenance.
Ability to meet quality, safety, and production standards.
Ability to perform the essential duties proficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor industrial printing machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance on printing equipment.
Ensure products meet quality control standards.
Monitor ink supply systems.
Monitor cap and material supply functions.
Complete production and maintenance documentation.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing workspace.
Communicate with maintenance teams and production staff.
Perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor.
