About The Position

The Box Printer prepares and operates packaging equipment, applying creative and innovative thinking, knowledge of packaging materials and date-code requirements, computer skills, and an understanding of machine operation. The role includes preparing the machine for daily startup and shutdown, following the production schedule, making operator adjustments, performing quality checks, and repairing the machine as needed. The position also requires determining packaging-material needs for scheduled jobs, maintaining downtime logs, completing required paperwork, following QA processes related to Food Defense, HACCP, and Allergens, complying with safety requirements, operating a forklift to move materials, and working with multiple computer programs. This is a second-shift position on a 10-hour schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, Google products, and other programs.
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
• Good cooperative skills.
• May require flexibility in scheduling.

Nice To Haves

• Above-average mechanical skills.
• Forklift experience, including sit-down or stand-up forklifts.
• Detail-oriented and a quick learner, with the ability to work within deadlines.
• Two or more years of operational experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the machine for daily startup and shutdown procedures.
