Print Production Specialist
About The Position
Harvest Print & Media (HPM), a portfolio company of Melvin Management Company, is seeking a hands-on Print Production Specialist to support daily print production operations and learn every facet of the business. The role offers opportunities to build technical skills, gain experience throughout the print operation, and grow into a Lead Print Operator. The position involves operating production equipment, preparing files and materials, coordinating schedules, inspecting finished products, supporting fulfillment and shipping, and contributing to process improvements while maintaining quality, efficiency, and customer service.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn print production systems.
- Comfort navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate digital print, wide-format, finishing, and production equipment while maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency.
- Learn the full production workflow, including printing, cutting, laminating, mounting, packaging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare files and materials for production and ensure accuracy and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Coordinate production schedules to help meet customer deadlines.
- Inspect finished products before delivery for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and workflow.
- Cross-train across production disciplines with the goal of mastering the print operation.
- Support installation, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality and customer service.
- Participate in learning initiatives, including training programs, workshops, and webinars.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to internal and external customers by responding promptly to requests and production needs.
