About The Position

The Print Production Facility Associate works in a dedicated Staples digital print facility, not a retail store. The facility processes large print orders originating from stores and is not typically customer-facing. Associates produce and finish high-volume copy, print, and signage orders using digital print equipment. Training is provided, with opportunities to cross-train in different facility functions. Some schedules may be flexible, depending on the opening. The role may also serve as a backup driver.

Requirements

Attention to detail and sound organizational skills.
Experience managing many priorities.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, identify problems or missing information, and address them proactively.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to size and print documents.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a print environment.
Experience using and editing PDF files in a digital print manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Follow the production workflow to produce a high volume of work.
Operate finishing equipment, including cutters, drills, and bindery equipment.
Prepare and troubleshoot file formats and convert files to PDF print-ready status.
Ensure work follows the job ticket and meets customers’ quality expectations.
Use and care for equipment properly, following operating instructions and maintenance schedules.
Partner with the Production Facility Lead to process projects on time.
Perform other duties as assigned and potentially serve as a backup driver.
