About The Position
This course focuses on understanding brain-behaviour relationships by examining major neurobehavioural syndromes and associated neuropsychological deficits. It will review the current theoretical assumptions underlying these syndromes. Topics include: history and principles of neuropsychology, gross neuroanatomy and neuropathology, aphasia, apraxia, agnosia, alexia, agraphia, visuo-spatial/perceptual/construction disorders, attention/neglect, memory and learning, limbic system functions, callosal syndromes, and executive functions. This is a lecture-based course offered in person.
Requirements
- Doctorate in psychology
- Excellent knowledge of neuropsychological research
- In-depth knowledge of neurological disorders and syndromes
- Advanced knowledge of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology
- Demonstrated competency incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training

- Relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Teach the course "Principes de neuropsychologie" (PSY5525 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
