Google’s Global Network Infrastructure supports compute, storage, and AI/ML workloads across hyperscale data centers, optical networks, subsea cables, and the edge. Network Delivery Engineering bridges network technology development and global deployment. As AI/ML and Cloud infrastructure scales, the organization is transforming network delivery from bespoke execution into a high-throughput, predictable production system. The Principal Technical Program Manager will architect the re-engineering of the end-to-end network delivery lifecycle. This role spans network engineering, process engineering, and systems thinking, treating delivery—from architectural intent and New Product Introduction (NPI) through material orchestration, automated provisioning, and field turnup—as an integrated system. The role diagnoses bottlenecks, redesigns cross-functional workflows, defines automation requirements, and standardizes engineering standards to improve delivery velocity, quality, and scale. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, the role leads complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. The position also involves explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers. Google’s Technical Infrastructure team develops and maintains data centers and platforms and operates the networks that support Google products.
