About The Position

The position owns rapid-response work when supply plans diverge from reality, develops data center strategies from problem framing through executive decisions, and translates between infrastructure, technology roadmaps, and business requirements. It builds financially rigorous business cases, aligns cross-functional partners, influences adoption of new strategies and operating models, and turns strategic decisions into executable programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year of experience reading and/or writing code, such as for sample documentation or product demos.
  • Master's degree in a related field such as Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Analytics, and 6+ years of experience in supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with data center infrastructure and/or GPU/AI accelerator deployments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the broader Microsoft 365 suite, such as Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI, including building executive-ready models and presentations.
  • 4+ years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, and/or Sales and Operations Planning.
  • 4+ years of experience in data center, cloud services, or supply chain planning.
  • Experience in technology, cloud services, and supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a business-critical function.
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud infrastructure or services.
  • Demonstrated experience in data center foundation, operations, and network.

Responsibilities

  • Own rapid-response supply work when plans and actual conditions diverge, creating supply optionality and fungibility across regions and capacity types.
  • Resolve stranded or at-risk assets, capitalize on opportunistic power deals, run scenario drills, and triage escalations, including rapid-turn requests from senior leadership and Corporate Strategy.
  • Develop new regional, metro, or capability-level data center strategies from problem framing through executive decision, including defining the question, conducting analysis, and presenting recommendations.
  • Translate across data center infrastructure—including power, land, network, construction, and capacity—technology roadmaps, and business requirements to develop technically grounded and operationally feasible options.
  • Build business cases by modeling capital and operating costs, lead-time, and risk trade-offs with Finance, and frame investment decisions for leadership.
  • Coordinate partners across Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, Execution, and Operations to establish a shared direction and resolve competing priorities.
  • Drive adoption of new strategies and operating models using evidence and persuasion, constructively challenging the status quo and gaining senior-leader support.
  • Turn strategy into an executable program by defining milestones, governance, and success metrics, and drive progress through clear ownership and decisive escalation when needed.
