About The Position

Walmart is looking for a Principal Talent Sourcer – Executive Talent Acquisition Partner. Leadership plays a critical role in how we grow, innovate, and serve our customers. As a Principal, Talent Sourcer on our Executive Talent Acquisition team, you’ll help us identify and engage VP+ leaders for key roles across the business. Partnering closely with Executive Recruiters and senior stakeholders, you’ll bring a strong understanding of the external talent market, turning insights into proactive sourcing strategies that strengthen our leadership pipeline. About the team We’re a focused, high-impact team that supports officer-level (VP+) hiring across the enterprise. We partner closely with senior stakeholders to align on business needs, deliver competitive market insights, and build relationships with top leadership talent. Our work helps shape Walmart’s leadership pipeline - and contributes to decisions that impact millions of lives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience sourcing executive or senior leadership talent, ideally within a Fortune 100 company or global executive search firm
  • Strong research and market mapping capabilities, with experience delivering talent insights
  • The ability to build credibility and trust with senior leaders and candidates alike
  • A strategic, analytical mindset with the judgment to manage confidential relationships with care
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, Avature, and others
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance sourcing strategies - leveraging automation, talent intelligence, and data to identify, engage, and prioritize executive-level talent more effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related area and 3 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition or other related area.
  • 5 years' experience in candidate sourcing, recruiting, or talent acquisition in a staffing agency or corporate environment.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead proactive sourcing for VP+ officer roles across the business, managing long listing, research, and outreach
  • Serve as a first point of contact for executive candidates - conducting thoughtful outreach and early assessments
  • Build and maintain pipelines for critical roles and future leadership needs, partnering closely with Talent Management on identifying gaps through succession planning
  • Deliver market insights, talent intelligence, and competitor research that inform executive recruiting strategies
  • Keep candidate pipelines and activity updated in CRM tools like Avature, ensuring alignment across the team
  • Collaborate closely with Executive Recruiters, Project Managers and cross-functional partners throughout each search
