About The Position

Designs and delivers features for provisioning, onboarding, and platform services, owning small-to-medium components end-to-end. Performs cross-layer debugging spanning kernel and user space, firmware interfaces, and hardware signals to identify mitigations and root causes. Monitors and tunes performance, capacity, and error budgets for owned services or drivers, adding observability and guardrails. Enhances automation for fleet operations and improves CI/CD, validation, and conformance tests. Participates in schematic and board reviews to surface firmware and software implications, and supports early bring-up with targeted diagnostics. Designs, develops, and maintains standard and non-standard system software modules for managing, monitoring, and provisioning computer servers, storage, networking, and GPU subsystems in a hyperscale environment. Independently develops and deploys software layers and tooling to automate hardware provisioning and server onboarding to a large-scale fleet. Integrates and validates system firmware with hardware components and collaborates on platform bring-up, firmware updates, diagnostics, and cross-layer debugging. The role diagnoses and resolves issues across software, firmware, and hardware layers, working within DevOps and incident-response practices to maintain reliability and availability. It works closely with platform engineering, operations, firmware development, silicon and board vendors, and data center teams to support and troubleshoot hardware bring-up, provisioning, and lifecycle operations. The engineer designs software solutions, contributes to requirements, develops and tests features, leads code reviews in designated areas, performs performance profiling and optimization, and supports secure, reliable systems and software architecture. The position also includes customer issue and defect collaboration, system maintenance, independent project execution, cross-team partnership, problem solving, continuous learning, and process improvement.
