This is a full-time, 100% U.S.-based remote W-2 position requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI). Candidates located in California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. The engineer partners with product, architecture, vendor, business, EDI analyst, DevSecOps, and cloud teams to make architecture decisions and guide modernization, cloud scalability, and performance strategies. The position involves hands-on configuration and maintenance of Edifecs XEServer, XEngine, Trusted Platform Modules, SpecBuilder, and related modules. The engineer guides EDI analysts in building, deploying, and optimizing processing rules, routing logic, and batch workflows; investigates mapping and validation issues, functional errors, transaction failures, and performance bottlenecks; and manages logging, JVM tuning, and certificate and keystore configurations. Responsibilities also include release deployments, environment refreshes, patching, upgrades, and production operations. The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of professional experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise application operations, software or data engineering, with strong AWS experience. An Edifecs certification is listed under professional certifications, and a master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is listed under formal education.
