About The Position

BILL is seeking a Principal Product Manager for its Embed & Integrations team to own products connecting BILL with the accounting systems customers use to run their businesses. The role shapes the strategy and multi-year roadmap for the Sync, Integrations, and App Center portfolio, including existing two-way ERP syncs, new integrations, APIs, file-based integrations, and the App Center. It is a senior individual-contributor role with product-leader scope and responsibility for outcomes in an area of strategic importance to the company. The Product Manager will set direction across multiple product areas, build investment cases, and lead cross-functional teams toward measurable improvements in adoption, sync reliability, retention, and revenue. The role includes advancing deep ERP integrations and accounting workflows, modernizing customer setup and integration management, growing the partner ecosystem, and working with Developer Platform and Embed teams on shared foundations such as APIs, OAuth, and partner onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related professional experience, a Master’s degree and 10+ years, a PhD and 8+ years, or equivalent experience; a substantial portion of experience should be in product management.
  • Experience at Principal, Group, or Director-level scope, owning a portfolio of related products or a strategically important area and delivering multi-year roadmaps spanning several product areas.
  • Demonstrated business results, such as revenue growth, market-share gains, customer acquisition, or retention.
  • Strong product strategy skills, including funded business cases, financial modeling and forecasting with Finance, and using customer, competitor, and market insight.
  • Data fluency, including setting goals and forecasts, explaining how KPIs drive the business, and using data and experiments for portfolio decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functionally without formal authority, including working with senior leaders across functions and product pillars.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including communication with executives.
  • Deep expertise in integrations, APIs, and major ERPs and accounting systems, such as Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting workflows, including AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliation, and close, and how data flows between a financial operations platform and the ledger.
  • Experience building or growing an app marketplace, App Center, or partner integration ecosystem, including partner selection, launch, and measurement.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to work with engineers on sync architecture, data mapping, API design, and reliability trade-offs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at an ERP or accounting software provider, or a fintech serving SMB and mid-market finance teams and accounting firms.
  • Experience with OAuth-based app ecosystems, iPaaS or file-based integrations, or AI and agent connectors.
  • Experience with ERP partner programs, co-marketing, or partnership commercial terms.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in product work and experience shipping AI-assisted experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape and execute multi-year strategy and roadmaps for BILL’s integrations ecosystem across several product areas.
  • Identify and size opportunities using customer research, usage data, market insight, and competitive analysis; build funded business cases with Finance.
  • Set portfolio goals, OKRs, annual forecasts, and KPIs aligned with company objectives, and document results and lessons learned.
  • Lead discovery with customers, accountants, and partners to understand problems before committing to solutions.
  • Develop a testing and experimentation roadmap to evaluate larger product bets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Research, Analytics, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience, and coordinate with leaders in other product pillars.
  • Drive product execution from discovery through launch and iteration, managing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, and partnering with GTM, Sales, and CX on launch, enablement, and adoption.
  • Communicate opportunities, progress, risks, and decisions to executives and stakeholders through clear written narratives and reviews; take ownership of changes when plans go off track.
  • Advance deep ERP integrations beyond baseline data synchronization to automate accounting workflows across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and Spend & Expense.
  • Set and improve standards for sync reliability and customer effort, using measures such as sync success rate, error rate, and CX contact rate.
  • Modernize how customers set up, connect, and manage integrations, including moving toward one App Center experience for every customer.
  • Grow the App Center and partner ecosystem by prioritizing apps and next-generation ERPs, defining partner vetting and launch processes, and measuring connected organizations and payment volume.
  • Shape BILL’s ERP and partner strategy, including decisions about whether to build, partner, or embed as ERP API access models evolve.
  • Work with Developer Platform and Embed teams on shared APIs, OAuth, and partner-onboarding foundations so integrations can scale without one-off work.
