Principal Product Manager, Services

Palo Alto Networks•Office - USA - CA - Headquarters, CA
•$176,800 - $286,000•Onsite

About The Position

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Product Manager to serve as the service product owner for a dedicated product set within Network Security (NetSec). The role acts as an internal consultant and strategic bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, and Go-To-Market teams. It requires a detailed understanding of product priorities, engineering plans, and roadmaps to design support and service models aligned with product launches. The position focuses on the services, support, and monetization models around software products, rather than building the software products themselves. The role will evolve Services offerings from a traditional access-based model toward an outcome-oriented model significantly enabled by AI. Working within a strategic pod model, the Principal Product Manager will guide launch planning, advise core Product Managers, establish standardized service delivery options, and ensure global field and Services delivery teams are aligned and equipped. The position also leads strategic planning for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and New Service Introductions (NSIs), and advances the transition from legacy, human-intensive support processes toward an agentic and automated model. The Services Product Management team works at the intersection of product innovation and customer success. It defines service GTM strategy, anticipates market shifts, and implements scalable, highly automated service solutions aligned with customers’ evolving needs. Palo Alto Networks states that most teams work from the office full time, with flexibility when needed. The posted annual compensation range is $176,800 to $286,000. Compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and work location; an offer may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. The role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
