About The Position

OneTrust is seeking a senior-level individual contributor to architect and scale high-impact, release-driven digital education for complex SaaS products. The role serves as the studio’s learning design authority and quality multiplier, building flagship eLearning, converting instructor-led content into scalable self-directed experiences, and creating reusable design patterns so learning keeps pace with product releases. The designer combines instructional design judgment with hands-on execution to help customers and partners adopt new functionality and realize value from OneTrust’s platform.

The position involves producing rapid, release-synchronous eLearning and microlearning; turning instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and SME-led material into self-directed learning; and creating demo and how-to videos. The designer maintains learning templates, patterns, and standards, partners with product SMEs, trainers, and education leaders, applies accessibility and inclusive design practices, and uses AI tools to accelerate development and quality assurance. The role also mentors other designers and uses learner and delivery feedback to improve adoption and time-to-value.

OneTrust encourages an office-first culture, with three days per week in the office for most roles. Specific requirements or flexibility may vary by position. The stated annual base salary range for candidates based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington is $90,000–$120,000. The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a similar field.
• At least 7 years of experience in instructional design or rapid eLearning experience design.
• Experience with ADDIE, backward design, and Agile design.
• Proven success delivering rapid eLearning in high-volume, release-driven environments.
• Deep experience converting instructor-led and technical content into effective self-directed learning.
• Strong design judgment and the ability to serve as a design authority, not just a content producer.
• Strong project management skills, including working closely with SMEs, managing multiple projects in parallel, and meeting release timelines.
• Hands-on experience producing video content using Camtasia, Snagit, or similar tools.
• Strong proficiency with Articulate Rise and working knowledge of Articulate Storyline.
• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
• Experience using AI to improve development speed, quality, and scalability.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver rapid, release-synchronous eLearning for technical SaaS products, primarily using Rise.
• Convert instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and SME-led content into high-quality, scalable self-directed digital learning.
• Design and maintain new, release-maintenance, and delta-training modules that explain what changed, why it matters, and how to apply it.
• Build microlearning experiences of 15 minutes or less.
• Create demo and how-to videos using AI audio to teach workflows, use cases, and best practices.
• Own and evolve reusable learning templates, patterns, and standards that support consistency, accessibility, and speed.
• Partner with product SMEs, trainers, and education leaders to translate complex functionality into clear, outcome-driven learning.
• Apply and enforce WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive and neurodiverse design practices.
• Use AI tools, such as Copilot and Rise AI, to accelerate development, generate scenario variants, maintain terminology consistency, and support quality assurance.
• Mentor and coach other designers, influence design decisions, and provide hands-on guidance for complex initiatives.
• Use learner and delivery feedback to identify stumbling points and design targeted digital solutions that improve adoption and time-to-value.
