About The Position

The Learning Experience Designer III owns the design, development, and ongoing improvement of digital learning that helps Bluebeam customers complete real tasks. The role creates courses and reusable learning resources for a global architecture, engineering, and construction audience, and structures content for use across Bluebeam University, in-product experiences, community, and other customer channels. The designer uses approved AI tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections to improve content creation, maintenance, and delivery. The role manages projects with minimal oversight, uses customer insights and data to guide decisions, and remains accountable for accuracy, accessibility, and instructional quality. It also partners with technical teams on integrations, authentication, security, and infrastructure. The work includes investigating customer needs; designing practical, task-based instruction, practice, and assessments; developing reusable and structured content; enabling delivery beyond the LMS; applying AI and MCP-connected workflows responsibly; managing projects independently; maintaining content quality; and measuring and improving results.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of relevant experience in learning experience design, instructional design, digital customer education, or a related field.
  • Experience independently delivering digital learning projects from needs analysis through release.
  • Experience developing interactive learning and assessments with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience using AI in repeatable content or learning workflows, including validation and human review.
  • Practical use of MCP-connected AI tools.
  • Working proficiency in Parta or a comparable platform supporting modular authoring, reusable content, and structured publishing.
  • Working understanding of headless LMS concepts and API-enabled content delivery.
  • Experience using feedback or data to improve learning experiences.
  • Ability to apply instructional design and adult learning principles to clear, task-based customer education.
  • Ability to design meaningful practice and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
  • Ability to structure modular content using metadata, tagging, and reusable components, and prepare content for localization and delivery across channels.
  • Proficiency using Parta or a comparable modular authoring platform, digital learning development tools, and learning management systems.
  • Ability to translate learning needs into technical requirements and acceptance criteria for headless LMS concepts and API-enabled delivery.
  • Ability to use AI and MCP-connected tools in repeatable workflows, evaluate outputs, and recognize when human approval or technical support is required.
  • Ability to apply accessibility and user experience principles and troubleshoot common content and publishing issues.
  • Ability to interpret learning data and feedback, distinguish engagement from learning effectiveness, and turn findings into improvements.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies with minimal oversight and communicate decisions, tradeoffs, and risks clearly.
  • Ability to build productive partnerships, seek different perspectives, and give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Equivalent platform experience is acceptable, provided the candidate can transfer those skills to the team's approved toolset.

Responsibilities

  • Use customer insights, product workflows, feedback, and data to identify learning needs and desired outcomes, and recommend whether to create new content or improve existing resources.
  • Apply instructional design, adult learning, and user experience principles to create task-based instruction, practice, and assessments for structured courses and standalone learning needs.
  • Develop courses, simulations, videos, written resources, and certification-related content using approved tools.
  • Apply content structure, metadata, and versioning standards to support reuse, localization, and maintenance.
  • Work with technical partners to define content delivery, learner access, tracking, and reporting requirements for learning experiences beyond the LMS.
  • Test implemented learning experiences against learning objectives and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and apply repeatable AI- and MCP-connected workflows for appropriate content analysis, creation, revision, and related tasks; validate outputs and include necessary review and approval steps.
  • Follow company access and data-handling requirements when using AI and MCP-connected workflows.
  • Plan projects, coordinate contributors and reviews, maintain documentation, and communicate progress with minimal oversight.
  • Raise scope, capacity, and technical risks early and recommend realistic options.
  • Validate product accuracy with subject matter experts and test accessibility, functionality, and the learner experience.
  • Recommend content updates, consolidation, or retirement as products and customer needs change.
  • Define success measures, review available evidence, recommend improvements to learning and workflows, and share findings and effective practices with cross-functional partners and the team.
