Mission Lane
•$145,000 - $188,000•Remote

About The Position

Mission Lane is seeking a Principal Delivery Manager to own delivery across Portfolio Management and report to the Senior Director, Portfolio Prioritization & Delivery. The role will establish the first dedicated delivery team’s approach and set the standard for how Portfolio Management plans, sequences, and delivers work. Within a year, the teams supported by this role are expected to be using an adopted delivery approach built by the role holder. The position shapes delivery while the best structure is still being discovered, balancing momentum with rigor. It calls for reimagining how work is done through process, technology, and human connection; creating and refining approaches with the teams doing the work; anticipating dependencies across teams; and making and explaining sound sequencing and priority decisions. The role partners with executive leadership on delivery trade-offs, defines measures of delivery performance, and provides informal coaching and guidance to other Delivery Managers. This is a remote-first role with approximately four or more trips per year for high-quality in-person collaboration. The annual full-time starting base salary range is $145,000–$188,000, with eligibility for annual incentive and equity programs.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs, including initiatives spanning multiple organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience building delivery structures, processes, or engagement models where no established approach existed, and achieving adoption.
  • Experience defining delivery metrics or standards that were adopted beyond the team that created them.
  • Experience coordinating across organizations, anticipating unknowns, and handling late changes without disrupting the work.
  • Strong executive-level communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience informally guiding or coaching other delivery professionals without formal management authority.
  • Ability to travel approximately four or more times per year for in-person collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with portfolio management, capital allocation, or credit portfolio functions.
  • Experience establishing a new function, process, or center of excellence.

  • Coordinate across teams Portfolio Management touches, surfacing dependencies and unknowns early and proactively identifying and resolving complex cross-team problems.
  • Define the Portfolio Management engagement model, including execution planning, release planning, and coordination among teams and executive leadership.
  • Establish delivery standards for Portfolio Management based on recurring themes across its work.
  • Provide informal guidance and coaching to fellow Delivery Managers as delivery practices develop.
