About The Position

The Portfolio Delivery Leader is accountable for collaboratively designing, aligning, and delivering a prioritized portfolio roadmap. The role builds and maintains trust-based relationships with business stakeholders to align technology investments with strategic objectives and deliver measurable value. Acting as a strategic partner to the business digital leader, the leader ensures the right teams, capabilities, and processes are in place to deliver high-impact, high-quality solutions. In partnership with Digital Leaders, this position champions an integrated delivery model that strengthens business engagement, accelerates decision-making, and improves portfolio transparency. The role provides leadership and oversight for solution delivery using advanced technologies, including ensuring teams apply AI and current technology design best practices, standards, and methodologies. It is accountable for team performance, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement, fostering shared ownership, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency. The leader oversees product and platform development, including AI and cloud, and ensures effective governance and stakeholder expectation management. The position also advances business partnerships by focusing on solving business problems and identifying leading practices for security, data integrity, service quality, scalability, privacy, risk mitigation, disaster recovery, controls, and monitoring. The position leads high-performing client-facing product teams and in-house and third-party teams that design, implement, support, and maintain custom solutions integrating internal and external systems. It applies business knowledge across assigned business lines and functional groups to align delivery with strategic goals, and drives opportunities to streamline workflows using AI, automation, and modern delivery tools. It establishes reliable, collaborative delivery processes; standardizes Agile and SAFe practices; and works with Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, and Agile Coaches to uphold SAFe principles and improve delivery efficiency and team performance. Solutions may use cloud and hybrid platforms and must be reliable, high-quality, and scalable for RSM’s needs.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in a software engineering, cloud, or technology leadership role.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and administration.
Experience building on-premise, off-premise, and hybrid solutions.
Experience building business solutions and understanding business processes.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and expert problem-solving skills.
Understanding of current development technologies.
Leadership experience managing Agile SAFe development teams delivering complex business solutions.
Motivation to work in a new and growing environment.
Strong mentoring and training skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills, with an approachable demeanor.
At least 5 years of experience leading matrixed delivery teams, building strategic roadmaps, and aligning effectively with the business.
Experience in solution development and governance.
At least 10 years of experience building enterprise-class on-premise, off-premise, and hybrid solutions.
At least 5 years of experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Strong business knowledge in Audit, Tax, Consulting, and/or internal firm functions.
Strong experience with Agile SAFe.
Knowledge and experience with application lifecycle management using Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
Experience presenting to C-level executives and boards of directors.
Proficiency in performing and reporting risk and business impact.
Knowledge and experience developing and documenting cloud architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical, and project plans.
Knowledge and experience leading teams focused on Azure cloud and related cloud technologies.
Ability to determine when customization, development, or additional commercial products are required.
Hands-on experience with large-scale Azure implementations in an enterprise environment, including deploying applications for scale, monitoring and support, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and optimization.
Ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering, and IT operations staff.
Ability to influence without authority and build relationships across business lines, functional areas, and outside vendors.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including effective communication across the organization.
Ability to serve as a cloud technology leader and subject matter expert for project and application development teams, management, and business personnel.
Ability to drive delivery, motivate teams, and contribute to realistic timelines, roadmaps, and goals.

Lead process optimization efforts and provide regular performance reporting.
