Telehealth - Primary Care Physician
About The Position
Bastion Health is a virtual-first healthcare platform focused on improving access, outcomes, and patient engagement through technology-enabled care. It provides comprehensive men’s health services, including hormonal, reproductive, prostate, and overall wellness care. The Telehealth Primary Care Physician joins Bastion Health’s growing clinical network as an independent contractor. The physician practices across the full spectrum of primary care in a virtual environment, supporting patients through evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and care coordination. The role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and comfort working within an evolving care model. The position is fully remote, with flexible scheduling based on physician availability and patient demand. Compensation structure will be discussed during the interview process. Physicians must maintain active licensure in the states where care is delivered.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted DEA license.
- Active, unrestricted medical licenses in multiple U.S. states; five or more states are strongly preferred.
- At least three years of post-residency clinical experience in primary care or related fields.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a wide range of patient needs.
- Comfort practicing independently in a virtual care setting.
- Excellent communication skills and strong virtual bedside manner.
- Proficiency with EHR systems.

- Prior telehealth or virtual care experience.
- Experience managing adult patients across preventive, acute, and chronic care.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams.
- Multistate licensure across high-volume states.
Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual primary care visits via video and other telehealth modalities.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of adult acute and chronic conditions.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and clinical guidance.
- Coordinate care with specialists, care coordinators, and external providers as needed.
- Support patients across the continuum of care, from initial consultation through follow-up.
- Document accurately and efficiently in Athena EMR and internal systems.
- Adhere to telehealth regulations, prescribing guidelines, and state-specific requirements.
- Escalate care appropriately based on clinical need.
