Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
About The Position
A dedicated Veteran-focused clinical program in northern North Carolina is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform structured Compensation and Pension (C&P) examinations for military Veterans. The provider will complete non-treatment disability evaluations, review medical histories, and document findings electronically through standardized federal examination tools. Responsibilities include conducting one-time assessments, submitting Disability Benefits Questionnaires within required timeframes, and supporting high-volume sites serving large Veteran populations; this role offers a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Experience in primary care or related clinical evaluation settings
- Experience conducting structured medical assessments or disability-focused exams
- Master’s degree in nursing (NP) or completion of an accredited PA program
- Active North Carolina NP or PA license or eligibility
- Active, unrestricted DEA registration
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
