Pricing Strategy Associate

Landing•Birmingham, AL
•$80,000 - $80,000•Onsite

About The Position

Landing is a nationwide hospitality platform offering fully furnished apartments with hotel-quality consistency, with stays ranging from a week to a year and 24/7 local support. The Pricing Strategy Associate sets prices for a region of Landing’s apartment portfolio and owns the resulting performance. The role makes decisions about rates, length-of-stay rules, booking channels, and promotions, with RevPAR (revenue per available unit) as the primary scorecard. The associate works closely with local General Managers, apartment owners, and property operators to explain pricing decisions and market changes. The role is based at Landing’s Birmingham headquarters and requires working onsite every day alongside the pricing team. Landing will teach the hospitality revenue-management side of the work; the position calls for strong quantitative judgment, initiative, and the ability to make and act on decisions using incomplete data.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in a numbers-heavy role where analysis led to real decisions.
  • Experience setting prices, valuations, bids, or targets and owning the results, rather than only preparing analysis for someone else to make decisions.
  • Ability to take an unclear problem with incomplete data, reach a decision quickly, and act on it.
  • Comfort with having results visible and being measured by them.
  • Strong spreadsheet and modeling skills, including the ability to identify and investigate numbers that look wrong.
  • Ready to relocate to Birmingham and work every day from Landing’s headquarters alongside the pricing team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate strategy, pricing or strategy at a marketplace or technology company, insurance pricing, or revenue management.
  • Daily use of AI tools such as Claude, or eagerness to begin using them.
  • Curiosity about pricing and hospitality; prior revenue-management experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own regional revenue performance, including prices and occupancy against plan.
  • Set market rates based on nearby competing properties, seasonality, and local events.
  • Determine the appropriate mix of short and long stays, including minimum-stay rules, extension pricing, and monthly rates.
  • Manage how apartments are presented on Landing’s site and external booking sites such as Airbnb and Booking.com, maintain price consistency, and decide which promotions to join.
  • Identify underperforming apartments, assess possible causes such as price, photos, location, or the apartment itself, and work with the local General Manager and supply team on improvements.
  • Forecast regional performance and booking pace each week, determine needed changes, and implement them.
  • Explain pricing decisions to General Managers and property partners in plain language.

Benefits

  • Up to $5,000 in relocation reimbursement to Birmingham.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D, disability, mental health, pet, commuter, and FSA or HSA benefits.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Access to ImmediatePay.
  • Generous PTO.
  • $750 annually in Landing Stays.
  • Room to grow, with a team being built and promotions from within.
