About The Position

As a Pricer at RWB Thrift, you set prices for merchandise destined for the sales floor. You assess donated items based on condition, quality, and market trends, then apply pricing strategies intended to maximize sales while maintaining competitive prices. You work closely with team members, particularly Pricer Support personnel, to maintain consistent pricing standards and efficient workflows. Your attention to detail, knowledge of product categories, and understanding of customer preferences contribute to store revenue goals and customer satisfaction.

The role involves working in a consistently busy, noisy, and brightly lit retail store, with regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers. Employees may be asked to switch tasks or departments based on operational needs and are expected to work in assigned areas. A fundamental understanding of English may be necessary for understanding instructions and communicating with customers, donors, colleagues, and supervisors who primarily use English. Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements and fine-motor tasks.
• Ability to maintain balance and agility on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
• Visual acuity at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, noisy, and brightly lit environment, interact effectively with others, and switch tasks or departments as operational needs require.
• A fundamental understanding of written and spoken English may be necessary to understand instructions and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail pricing or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of thrift store operations and merchandise categories is a plus.
